Astrophotography

This astrophotography gallery explores the night sky as seen from the UK, with most images captured from a suburban Bortle 5 location. I use a mix of smart telescopes and traditional astrophotography rigs, with apertures ranging from 50–150mm and total exposure times of up to 30 hours per target. My focus is mainly on deep space objects such as nebulae and galaxies, alongside occasional views of the solar system. Astrophotography is a slow, patient process, and these images are the result of careful planning, clear nights and a genuine fascination with what lies beyond our planet.
